I am not sure if I am in the right place to ask this question (since most questions are about computer dvd's), but I am having audio synch problems with a new dvd player. It's a Sharp DV-S1U. I am not sure if it is really the player's fault, because it has played all of our other dvd's fine. But when I try to watch the Lord of the Rings dvd on it, the sound eventually always gets a few seconds ahead of the movie.

My question is, is there some setting on the player that would correct this problem, or is it a problem with the disc itself? I really appreciate any help!

Nope, it's a problem with the DV-S1U. I'm trying to figure it out myself. If you start and then re-start it will re-sync. Sometimes it runs fine, sometimes it won't sync worth crap.
