Go HERE and follow the bottom part of the guide to install the 3.52 M33-4 update. Then update to 3.80 M33.

Read the read me file more carefully it says for both 3.71 M33 and 3.80 M33 that 3.52 M33-3 or above must be installed.

Ive done that updated to 3.52 M33-4 and still the same happens it just goes blank? This is exactly what i have done: Drag and dropped UPDATE file into PSP/GAME then i renamed the EBOOT.PBP in the official sony 3.80 update to 380.PBP drag and dropped that into PSP/GAME and then run it on my psp then the screen turns black and freezes?

The 380.PBP file needs to be in PSP/GAME/UPDATE folder.

So move the 380.PBP from /PSP/GAME to /PSP/GAME/UPDATE

The 3.80 M33 update comes with an UPDATE folder with a few files inside it.

Drag that UPDATE folder to the /PSP/GAME folder.

Then rename the Official firmware 3.80 EBOOT to 380.PBP and drag that into the /PSP/GAME/UPDATE folder.

Now run the update.

If you still have issues try renaming the 3.80.PBP to just 380 drop the .PBP at the end.

Your PSP Battery level should also be at 78% or higher. if it is lower then that it will just reboot back to the XMB.

Go into recovery menu and then configuration and make sure you have 3.52 set for the GAME folder (NOT 1.50)
