New applications would also be available on the iPod Touch including standard Mail, Stocks, Notes and Weather. There will however be a catch for Touch users. Existing customers will have to pay $20 USD for the new features while new customers will have it built in.

Yet another reason for me to NEVER buy an apple product.
That's completely and ridiculously unfair to deny customers simple application upgrades to such a device while including it in new purchases. Way to punish faithful customers and early-adopters.

last time I bought something from Apple it was the QuickTime Pro because I needed it for movie conversions... till one day there was an upgrade and after the upgrade my license was lost and Apple just told me "you need to pay again"... I never used QuickTime again...

Apple's Leopard was mainly updates but I've noticed a very big difference. It helps to know what your talking about these days. It would have been worth the money, but I got it free.

And Quicktime is great, for me anyways. It does a great and fast job with conversions and it's very simple. I also got it for free :P

If you don't want to pay for something, then get it for free. If you like something then you might want to pay for an actual copy or something.

20%.. don't make me laugh.. maybe 20% in apple exclusive stockists. They won't even release the UK sales figures, because "they don't know them"..

I love BS, you can smell it a mile off.....
