Can all the members just do a search instead of asking all the same questions it takes less time than waiting for a reply.
3.51 ofw and higher needs a pandora battery and a magic memstick to get custom firmware on their psp and same for slim users (use the universal unbricker v3 memory stick with slim) there is no way around it before you ask..

A few helpful links

So please search as reading the same old questions over and over again gets really annoying, everyone here is willing to help as long as you are willing to help yourself :)

Maybe the reason noob don't use the search cuz' they are panic by their problem, that kick them far from the answer that actually close. Lol

My Phat PSP History : 1.50 > 3.40 OE-A > 3.52 M33-4 > 3.71 M33-2 (semi-bricked) > 1.50 (Recovered) > 3.40 OE-A > 3.52 M33-4 > 3.71 M33-4 > 3.80 M33-2 > 3.80 M33-5 > 3.90 M33-2 + 1.50 Subset.

it would be nice to not have loads of 3.80 m33 threads because people are too lazy to either search or actually use the 3.80 m33 release thread for their questions...

1.52>2.0>1.5>3.40 OE-A>3.71 M33-4
3.60>4.01 M33-2

i'm getting fed up with reading the same thing over and over again and typing the same thing over and over again it's like a reacurring dream lol

i know it seems mean but we should all just band together and stop answering questions that of which have been answered over and over and over again. Just let them sweat it out until they get the whole search function concept.

I have tried to do this but find when doing this the user tends to get answers from new mod scene users that are incorrect and just make it even more confusing for the user that is asking the question.

Yes I want members to search but I also don't want to see incorrect information getting to them and then they end up having a bigger problem then what they had in the first place.

We can complain all we want but it will never change. If users don't look/search for previous threads in the first place what makes ya think they will read this thread?

I even feel sorry for the Mods because I have seen multiple 3.80 M33 threads being closed by binkie7 but every 1 that she closes 3 more are started.

The other downside to not answering threads that have been covered or replying with "Do a search" (which i am just as guilty) is that those that do search end up having to dig through tons of junk threads that offer no help at all.

So lately I have just been linking to threads that help them out and offer no more help. That way if members do search like they should they at least have a link to go to to get the information they need.

I don't know if any of you noticed but I tend to use user and member and not NEWBIE because there are other members with a higher status then NEWBIE that is just as guilty to not searching.

good point but most asked questions can be answered with one of the many stickies just above where they posted their annoying question lol

Plus you get the odd "member" say they have searched everywhere and when you google it yourself you find it on the first hit lmao

hello all newbie here lol ...just want to say thank you for all that you do first off and that your info is very appreciated ...second I think that the "link method" to threads that give the information a member needs is a very good idea ...I myself have not upgraded my psp 1.50 OFW yet but this weekend its gonna be on like donkey kong..I've decided to go with the "SICDUDE" method so wish me luck:P im not completely computer dumb but hey i know how to follow a link! and I dont mind digging through the threads its actually kind of fun as long as the main subject says something close to what im looking for and usually it is what im looking for , so this is just to give you guys a little hope for the "newbie" lol...DUECES!!!!
