Which MOD chip Should I Get?

Ok, This is not new to me, but as in everything retail, everyone claims to be the best and newest.
First of all I just got my LG 8164b Drive, the choice is on the MOD chip for the we... Ok, the choices I have seen are the WiiKey, CycloWiz, or the D2CKey if it turns out that the Wii i got for my son this Christmas is a D2C chipped unit.

I guess I am asking, which chip would or do you use and why, the WiiKey or the CycloWiz?

oops, forgot to ask, is there anyway to find out if my Wii is a D2B or D2C unit without opening it? Perhaps serial Number or something?
