I have a question regarding digital HD formats and their differences in variation; & the pro's and cons that arise from this. I just would like to get an idea which of below are the best for back-up/archiving & viewing purposes on my PC HD media center.

HD WMV
HD x264
HD x264 ROsubbed
HD XviD
HD MPEG2
