I tried making back ups but I am very lost. can someone help me start this process. from the the very first step. thanks

Start by ripping the disk to the hard drive.
DVDFab HD Decrypter
Insert disk, run program select 'Main Movie' or 'Full Disk'

http://www.dvdfab.com/free.htm


Run DVD Shrink, click 'Open Files' and browse to the 'VIDEO_TS' folder where you saved the files.

Click 'Backup'

If you have Nero installed , DVD shrink will offer to burn the new disk with that program.

Often the quick start guides at http://www.dvdshrink.info are good for beginners. They're interactive and lead the user through the controls similar to using the program step by step. Not saying Alkohol's guide isn't good, just suggesting more info to check out.
