Ran ANYDVD in the background and used DVD Decrypter to rip it. Got 90% through then stopped with an error. Tried without running ANYDVD and it wouldn't crack the protector. I downloaded DVDFAB but I dont know how to get it to rip dvd's. Any help? I know there is another thread about this, however it is 6 pages long with a lot of different stuff about 2 different movies. Thanks.

(sigh)

OK, the ANSWER is DVDFAB.

With DVDFAB all you have to do is insert the disc and hit start. That's it. One click and you are on your way. : ) This is the program that I would suggest using for ALL FUTURE BACK UPS.

ALSO:

I am aware that this may come off rude (which is NOT my intention, but typed out messages in threads can be misunderstood), but I must say it:

Your original post was two hours ago. All it would take from you is 10 minutes of reading trough the two threads (shoot em up the FAB help) and you would have had your answer and the disc could have been backed up by now.

THE REASON I AM SAYING ANY OF THIS:

I (along with numerous others) have spent a lot of time in the past typing out countless messages for the "newbies" and other fellow backer-up-ers. In taking the time to type this, we are trying to inform them of how to properly and successfully back up discs. This process (along with us figuring out the problems) is time consuming, and I personally don't like typing the SAME THING OVER AND OVER again when someone should just READ the thread (even if it is six pages long) and get their answer there to begin with.

With that being said, I understand your want for a fast response/answer but things aren't always like that. Sometimes the best thing to do is read the forums and try to find the answer yourself because chances are it is already posted up. : )

I honestly hope that you can get this disc to back up and like I said, all you need is DVDFAB (I prefer DVDFABPLATINUM4). Just insert the disc, and hit start (it will take care of the compressing and burning for you). You can choose numerous backing up methods along with choosing what audio/features that you would like.

Try it out.. if you can't figure it out, then READ the threads, that's why they are here.

HERE ARE SOME SCREEN SHOTS FOR VISUAL REFERENCE.

^ This is an already backed up shrunk copy of shoot em up. Just hit start. (I just threw the disc in my top DVD drive, otherwise it would have said F: to E: instead of E: to E: but either way you just have to hit start.)

I DIDN'T include the final screen that says that back up was successful... I felt there was no need to as it is the basic scren shot of any other "back up successful" screen. IF you can't get it to work, I NOW have an extra copy that I can send you if you like.

I hope this helps and best of luck.

Cheers!

It did come off a bit rude. TI may be classified as a "newbie" but I have been a mmember of this forum for over 2.5 years. I just dont post a ton of stuff. You ever think that maybe, just maybe, I was doing something during those 2 hours between my posts and did not have time to go through 6 pages of posts? I can see where you dont want to repost stuff all the time, thats fine. At the same time, I clearly stated that I knew of the other thread and did not want to weed through 6 pages of posts to find the one that I needed. Figured someone may be able to help out a bit quicker. Thanks.

I apologize... BUT that's why I said "not my intention" to begin with.

I didn't even realize that you were classified as a "newbie" lol... not intended towards you.

I'm not going to sit here back and forth with you as that was intentionally sarcastic and rude and this is no longer worth my time and I have more important things to do. I wasn't pointing the finger or trying to be rude or anything like that I was trying to help and explain myself in the process, and I have apologized.

No more posts on this thread from me.

Not going back and forth. I appreciate the help. Just saying that it did come off a bit rude. I understand you did not intend for it to. Sorry if I seem a bit snappy.
