I read the FAQ and all the tutorials I could. But I can't find a solid easy to follow tutorial on how to play ISO's on my 360. I don't want to go on xbox live or anything. I just want to play ISO's. I have a friend of mine all my games and he put them on my external hard drive and said burn em and play em. How do I do this, in terms an idiot would even understand. thanks for your time.

open the iso in clonecd. burn at 2x speed onto a dual layer dvd. ive heard varbatim are the best dual layer dvds to use. put it in ur console and play.

these steps assume that your friend already patched the iso.

if your fridn didnt patch them then you have to do this.

download XBOX360 SS Merger 1.5o, and load your iso. When it asks to check the MD5 hit yes. It will then produce an MD5 number for you. if you got a bin with the game, load it. otherwise go here http://www.ubclass.org/X360SS/sslist.htm to get the bin file you need. Load the file.If both boxes are green and the numbers match, that is the correct file you need to patch. Hit the big huge button on the right side of the program to patch the file. It will then tell you it's finish and you can load the file that it outputs.

1. you need a flshed DVD drive to play back up copies

2. If he only made you an ISO file and did not make them the correct way by giving you both the ISO and DVD file then you have to use IMGburn and you have to manually set the layer break:
tools-->settings-->write-->layer break. Check user specified and set it to 1913760. Click ok and burn as normal. This is only necessary the first time burning a 360 game

3.After you have set the layer break:
1. open newest version of IMGburn
2. go to mode and select ?write?
3. now browse for and select the .DVD file you just made (or ISO if you have manually set the layer break)
4. Select your burning speed (4X), and booktype the media to DVD-Rom if your burner can booktype
5. hit start and burn it.


4. Make sure you use top quality media like Verbatim 6X max speed DVD+R DL

You can not play isos on your 360( at leat I never heard of it) . This is not the PSP. first, you have to have your firmware modded for dvd360 player. Then the isos should come in 2 parts 1. DVD file (very small) and 2. iso file (ranging from 5.56-7.05gig). Image burn is the best program for back ups( in my opinion: tried both clonecd and imageburn)and should be set to 2.4X burning speed. Verbatims and only VERBATIMS DVD + R DUAL LAYER Should be used.(less costers and less wear on 360 DVD lens. Hope this helps

woa. sounds like everyone has some way to do this. Im kind of interested in what Conzor has to say about using Clonecd. I hope it's as easy as burning and playing. Is it really that easy, or does all this other stuff about flashing need to be apart of the process? Oh and most of the tutorials I have read about flashing the xbox 360 are from 2006. Is there a new and improved 2008 way to flash? thanks for helping me and being patient. I wish good karma your way.
