I had this issue even when I was just running straight 3.73
Now I'm running 3.71 M33
Anyway heres my problem...I can load ISOs/Videos/Music no problem, however whenever I try to save any kind of save data it just instantly corrupts itself and I can't delete them and when I opened up K:/PSP/SAVEDATA I have 10,842 folders all which have no size to them and I can't delete them through windows or the PSP I have to format the entire stick.
As an interesting side note I bought this 4GB stick for $30 on ebay a few months ago and just recently came to realize its a knockoff because it bears no logo (Says Pro Duo but doesn't say Sony/Lexar/ETC...)
Any ideas? I'd like to think the stick is defective but if thats the case how come everything else is working as intended??

You've got a FAKE memory stick :(
Buy a new one :D
I recommend you buy a sandisk memorystick pro duo :)
I'm using it and darn it really roxXx 8)
Also, try this thing :-
Back up your PSP files :)
Format your PSP through your PC (Right click on your PSP memory stick drive and then choose "Format" and make sure 'file system' is set to "FAT" and not "FAT32")
And then copy all the files except those 10,842 folders >_>

You shouldn't have formatted your memory stick through your PSP !!
Juz format it to "FAT" and then replace the backuped files ^_^
You made a backup of your files on the memory stick rite ??? o_O

okies wait ^_^
See :)
1st, you had to BACKUP your all files of the PSP on your PC
2nd, you had to format your PSP to "FAT" using your PC
Well, cuz the PSP reads "FAT" file format and in some cases, it reduces the lag in some games ^_^
And then replace all the files back except those 10,842 files >_>
And then juz check whether your savegames work ^_^
If "NO" then you'll have to buy a new memory stick >_>

Eh already did that - I guess its time to get a new stick.
I managed to download a savegame off PSP Vault which worked fine but then that corrupted itself.
I thought maybe the games under PSP/SAVEDATA weren't saving under the ULUS-XXXXXX handle but they are :(
I guess it doesn't like the way the PSP is writing to it?

Well I just tried saving a game of GTA:VC (Which corrupts every time on my 4GB stick) on his 256MB Sandisk and it saved just fine.
I can now confirm that its the stick but being that the stick is defective, why does it do everything else fine like installing firmware/loading ISOs/playing videos and music?
Sigh I gotta buy a new one and bite the bullet I suppose.
Anyone have any good sources for a 4GB stick? I can find some for $30 on eBay but most of them are from hong kong, granted these guys have 2,000 sales and 99% positive but I'm skeptical of them being authentic sony sticks.

Well, may be your stick is not "Magic Gate" Supported >_>
neways, try on eBay only ^_^
If you live in America, www.newegg.com is also an awesome site ^_^
I would recommend you to buy a SanDisk memory stick pro duo ^_^
It's the BEST brand for the PSP ^_^

aahh :)
Well, I think that those memory sticks which do not support "Magic Gate" cannot store savegames >_>
It's most probably this reason because I have a "Playstation 2" and in the memory card slot it's written "Magic Gate" which means that Sony needs "Magic Gate" to store games >_>
Well, you'll have to buy a new memory stick and this time, see whether "Magic Gate" is supported >_>
I recommend "SanDisk memory stick pro duo" ^_^
It's the BEST for any PSP ^_^

I Have a Problem with my PSP Memory Stick, when I'm going to Format my Memory Stick, I always copy all the files in the SAVEDATA to my Hard Drive for Backup. After formatting my PSP memory stick, I Copy the Save Files From My hard Drive to SAVEDATA. My problem is when I'm going to play an ISO/CSO Game, it's said that the save i load is corrupted, How should i Prevent this From Happening Again?
