Brand new D2C Replacment drive moded with Argon
Works with ALL machines no matter what your original drive was!
Want to simply open your Wii and install a new drive ? This is the solution for you! No soldering, Just open / switch drives. Keep your old drive or sell it !

The d2b chipsets on sale at Ebay, do I need to know the region if I want to play NSTC-U games? Can't get response from seller with this info. Anybody who bought one know the answer?

Sorry for the typo,NTSC is correct. The U is United States. I understand that if you attempt to play PAL games on NTSC machine, only 80% will play and vise versa. I am looking for NTSC play, and have not gotten an answer after 3 days and 6 emails of trying. Will post answer if I can get one.

So if I got this right, if I buy one of these new or rebuilt drives with chipsets as a unit, all I do is swapout with my damaged unit, and my Wii still has the NTSC-U characteristics as before the change. In other words, the drive chipset unit has nothing to do with the region, am I right?
