running dbox on pc?

Hi guys

i have a dbox, downstairs and a pc upstairs with a haupage hvr 3000, (cable / freeview receiver)

am thinking of running media centre on it but was wondering if it is possible to run dbox type software on it so that i may get all the channels i get downstairs in the bedroom and be able to schedule and use the pc as a digital video recorder aswell.

any help much appreciated thanks guys!
