I bought a PSP from a friend and want to mod it so I can play PSP isos on it. Right now my firmware is 2.82 and my motherboard IS a TA-082. Can some1 please show me (if even possible) how to play downloaded isos on my PSP? Any kind of help would b appreciated.

EDIT: I apologize for being a noob at this lol but. I just rechecked my PSP. Previously I couldn't c the code on the motherboard but this time I did a little more snooping and finally got the code. The code is IC6001.

I know they can downgrade from higher than 3.03 so it IS possible to downgrade from what you have. if you have an unpatched GTA: LCS then I'd recommend just upgrading to 3.03 first then downgrading from there, thats what I did and I couldnt be happier with my custom PSP.

and there's no prob with it having tht code in the motherboard? and can a custom firmware b used instead so tht I don't need LCS?

last time I checked, No. besides, if things aren't proper they usually have a patch anyway. So if something is wrong. It'll let you know when you run the downgrader.

Edit - No you need to have LCS

Oh alright. So basically the only way possible for me to do this would b to hav LCS? No custom firmware available?

nope, you install the custom FW after you downgrade. I'm sure if you ask your friends one of em are bound to have an unpatched LCS

you can tell by two ways,

Unpatched:
1. has 2005 as the date on the back of the box
2. has update 2.0

Patched:
1. has 2006 as the date on the back of the box
2. has update 2.60

It is against forum rules to bump a thread.

Place the LCS UMD into the PSP and then go to Game Menu. If the update listed is 2.00 then it is unpatched if it is 2.60 then it is patched.

You can also downgrade using Lumines Game Exploit. Go HERE and follow the guide under -3.10 - 3.50 Any Motherboard (You must update to 3.50 official Firmware to use this downgrader).

If you find the unpatched version of LCS go HERE and look under the section of -2.81 - 3.03 Any Motherboard (You must update to 3.03 Official firmware to use this downgrader).

You also have the option to use a Pandora Battery + Magic Memory Stick.

Go HERE to create the Magic Memory Stick + Pandora Battery if you have a friend or family member that has a custom firmware PSP.

Go HERE if all you have is your Official 3.82 PSP to create the Magic Memory Stick + Pandora Battery.
