Ok, I've "seen" files on the internet of cartoon series that are ripped from dvd's so that each episode is it's own video file. I have a mac and I'm trying to do this with some of my personal DVDs for the kid. Once ripped I'll be streaming to my PS3 with Medialink. I've used Handbrake and can get the files ripped, but the quality just isn't that great, whenever their is any action on the screen their is a lot of lines tearing the picture.

How do the professional rippers get their copies to come out looking so good? Thanks!

Thanks, I did see that thread, but I'm looking for something specifically for individual chapters with some sort of setting to optimize the video quality.

If you want the best quality rips:

1. Rip to your hard drive with MacTheRipper.

2. Use DVD2oneX2 to compress the VIDEO_TS folder. Or, use VisualHub to convert the VIDEO_TS folder to another format.

If you want to select individual chapters:

1. Rip to your hard drive with MacTheRipper.

2. Use MPEG Streamclip to select the parts of the video you want.
