What does the html look like? Is it something like www.watchthisvideo.WAV, or MPEG, or AVI or something like that? Is it a link to a streaming file?
Hi Rotary, how's going?

Hi Rotary, how's going?
the files that i mentioned are htmls that i saved to my computer, they are no longer available online. one file is from the
chicago tribune two years ago and the other is for a house advertised online in las vegas.
both files are htmls and i saved them as such.

Quote:
What is an HTML File?
HTML stands for Hyper Text Markup Language
An HTML file is a text file containing small markup tags
The markup tags tell the Web browser how to display the page
An HTML file must have an htm or html file extension
An HTML file can be created using a simple text editor
A HTML file is just a type of "document" with instructions for your internet browser. It does not contain the actual video/audio information, but the directions that tell your browser where to find those videos.
If the video files are not uploaded anymore, or streamed from that location mentioned in your html...then you can't save any video:~(!

when saved to pc it copies all info / video etc to pc for offline browsing, so all should be there...

you need a video "GRABBER" software to rip it, and to a format you can use easily like avi/quicktime from the streaming media, etc...

Hmm...the html was saved 2 years ago.
No registry cleaning, no computer maintenance in two years?

Hey harold, in the upper righthand corner of your OP is a pencil and paper icon. Use that to edit and remove your email before a spammer sees it.

Two years? Agree with Cyprusrom here, sorry for your loss!

as already pointed out, no posting e-mail addies in the forums -- you'll end up getting spammed ;)
