Okay, the point of this thread is...what? PM'ing messages on the process to back these titles up, and then opening a thread about what you're PM'ing each other seems somewhat pointless.

How about posting the info instead of pm'ing to people? PM'ing is for stuff not forum related so let's share the knowledge.

I'm sure it did, but if you read below, you might have a better understanding of why I did what I did.

Hey Binkie.
Before I type this just want you to know none of the frustration you are going to read is pointed to you (or 7th Singer) at all.
So...
I am sorry for the confusion... I originally DID post the information.
You can thank BILBO65 and 1BONEHEAD for my removal of the information. I had originally posted that I successfully backed up the discs using DVDFabPlatinum4 and I got the response from BILBO and then BONEHEAD chimed in with her two cents and I then went back and removed the information.
By now whoever knows me on here or reads my posts KNOWS that I use DVDFabPlatinum4 for my backups. I recommend it to everyone.
I take my time and try different programs to see what will work the best. Starting with DVDFabPlatinum4, THEN moving to ANYDVD and so on... so if it works with the first solution, I figure it can help point someone in the right direction (but you know that binks, cuz you are the same way). ; )
Also, when I figure something out, I take MY TIME to type out what I find for those in need (and unfortunately those too lazy to actually READ the threads, or too cheap to buy a good program, and want to continue using obsolete software that is free).
After receiving crap from whatever her name was the other day about the "trouble with shoot em up" thread... I was at my wits end with these snappy comments from the net nerds and when I got those two, I thought, "well what the heck should I post my findings for if I'm going to be criticized by senior members and newbies for it not being their program of choice"? Or "why should I take the time to help when I receive comments that insinuate that I'm too stupid to know this forum is entitled DVDSHRINK when THEY SHOULD KNOW DVD SHRINK is OUTDATED and BECOMING OBSOLETE"?
My post was to inform everyone... as ALL my posts are (you know that as well). I felt BILBO and BONEHEAD were being rude/smart with their comments (as a few other members on this site have been to me) and like I said after I tried to help whatshername the other day with getting nothing but crap in return, I thought I would make these two happy and remove the info.
I hope this helps to explain the lack of information (or what seemed like I was trying to keep the solution to myself or just PM members).
SO ON THAT NOTE:
TO BINKIE7, 7TH SINGER ALL OTHER MEMBERS WHO I AM COOL WITH (which is MOST of you) WHO HAVE READ THIS AND WONDERED WHY I REMOVED THE SOLUTION:
I apologize TO YOU (and only you) for the removal of information about these discs and for the record:
ALL THREE OF THESE TITLES WERE SUCCESSFULLY BACKED UP WITH DVDFABPLATINUM4.0.5.1
^That was my ORIGINAL POST^ ; )

LOL! Sorry iluvendo!! I meant to say 4.0.5.1... ( I had to retype what I had originally posted and on top of typing that LONG MESSAGE it must have slipped and I didn't notice it).
Thanks for the correction! I'm going back to fix it now. ; )
DVDFabPlatinum4.0.5.1 can successfully handle these three titles.

I certanily appreciate your effort. I would suggest you don't mind some mindless bonehead that has nothing to do and posts a rude comment just to antagonize people.
Now I need to turn the rant on, as mindless comments piss me off big time.
For those that are asking about DVD Shrink, claiming that this is a DVD Shrink forum and one shouldn't post unless the post is related to DVD Shrink- do a little research, and you will find out that DVD Shrink is already obsolete when it comes to the new titles, like the OP said. You cannot use DVD Shrink by itself, you need to use it with AnyDVD or DVDFab HD Decrypter(and sometimes FixVts and/or VobBlanker).
And what is DVDFab HD Decrypter??!! Is a simplified version of DVDFab Platinum, what the original poster used to back up those titles. It has the same decrypting engine as the full Platinum version, just not the extra authoring options. In this case, for anyone that can think a little bit, it is obvious that DVDFab HD Decrypter will also have no problems with those titles, will rip them nice, to be transcoded by your DVD Shrink. Here is your connection with the forum.
Piss me off, and I Will ignore You!

No apology neccessary. And i appreciate the clarification. Believe me, we've all had the rude comments, stupid responses, and antagonistic replies to deal with. Keep making informative posts and don't worry about that other crap.
As far as the Shrink rant, i know it's outdated but i continue to use it. Old habits die hard, i like a lot of the things it's still capable of. So, yeah it's outdated, but i doubt i'm the only one who still uses it.
BTW 311814175, how was The Nines? I haven't seen it yet. Huge John August fan though.

No doubt, DVD Shrink is an excellent tool,a Dvd authoring/transcoding tool. Buy all means, I still use it too(for example if I rip an old movie that I know DVD Shrink can handle, so I can do everything in one process, or if I want to merge a movie into one sigle VOB and stuff like that). But for rippping the new titles by itself, it is helpless. Nothing wrong with the transcoding/authoring part. If I din't have Nero, Shrink would be the tool of choice for me too.

Yeah, i don't even attempt using Shrink alone with these new titles. I have just grown very accustomed to authoring/transcoding it's capable of. I like doing the deep analysis after running through FixVts.
Dvd Shrink is, afterall the Daddy (or at least the sperm donor) of Nero Recode, another handy tool.

Thanks Cyprus. I don't post with the notion that someone is going to post back and say "Thanks for the help" or "thanks for your effort" but when I do it drives me more to continue to try and help. So THANK YOU.
I usually don't let these @!^&!%# get under my skin, but for some reason I've been dealing with an abundance of @^%#$ lately (when I am juggling my limited time to help/post between full time work/school/fiancée) and like I said I was fed up. I appreciate you posting and getting my back on this matter. Thanks as well for explaining to the electronic illiterate about the programs. I think it was worded VERY WELL. Much respect goes out to you.

Thanks 7thSinger. I will definitely keep doing my thing here(regardless of $^%&@^), as I am the kind of person who strongly believes in karma. Whenever I have had a problem I can't figure out on my own, I have found my answers through all of you and I'm just doing what I can to give back to the community.
Yeah, shrink is outdated but like you said, it's the daddy and you are correct becuase I still use it as well (and probably will for as long as I can for the right titles). It's like you never really forget how to ride a bike, even though you've mastered the unicycle (does that make sense? lol). If Fab can't handle something, I move to ANYDVD and (if I had to choose) I almost prefer Shrink versus Clone but that's because I was using shrink with ANYDVD before I purchased Clone so I kind of am rooted as a shrinker.
As for The Nines... I thought it was EXCELLENT! I am a John August fan as well alongside a Ryan Reynolds fan and I thought they both did an outstanding job with the directing/acting. I was pleasantly surprised with Hope Davis' role as well(as I thought she was not as good in "The Hoax").
ON A DIFFERENT NOTE:
I hope to get my copy of "The Game Plan" today. If I can, I will let you know what I find because we all know those Disney DVD's can sometimes be tricky (or at least what I've experienced with some) but hopefully it will be nothing that we can't handle.
Thanks again friends. It is appreciated. Big ups and respects to both of you.
Cheers!

Here's a tip for future reference - use the report an offensive post button when you run across those situations. The mods will then take over :)

And the mods have God-like powers! Believe me, i'm no stranger to the Report Offensive Post button. But, if i remember properly, a Jr. Member can't use. I think you have to be a Member to use that function.
Someone correct me if i'm wrong there? Binks?

Glad to hear it on The Nines as i am eagerly awaiting seeing this one.

Funny thing I just noticed is newbie and junior members don't have the edit post option - I did not know that.

I guess that would explain the sequential posting we see frequently. Someone should fix that!

Thanks binkie. I never even thought to do that... next time (and I'm sure there will be a next time lol) I will be sure to do that.
I don't know if I misread any posts... but juniors do have the edit post option... otherwise I wouldn't have been able to go back and remove the information that started this whole commotion (LOL).

Good point!
