I've taken the xbox apart. i'm trying to take the screws out from under the heatsink, but they look like they're glued and i can't use my pliers to take them off. in the video (http://www.gametrailers.com/player/usermovies/157303.html), the guy takes them off with no problem, but i'm over here sweating trying to get these things off. is there something that i'm missing??

well i got the 0102 error this morning the 3 lights were killing me so i looked up error 0102 and it meant that my inside of 360 is too cold...so i just did the towel trick but i didnt let it overheat so now its working fine so i have to keep my room like 5 degrees hotter now because you have to keep the 360 temperate Not so HOT and not so COLD....so try the finding what error code you have and go from there and if you have 0102 (symptons are static noise during startup and freezes or pink lines on screen) just wrap towels around it and plug it in the wall and let it run for like 25 min and it should be fine mine is for the moment

i never get an error code. it just freezes up during boot and during gameplay

man, i dont know how to fix that but i just want to say sorry cause that sh*t is weak man. i got my 360 and it messed up on me. luckily i didnt have the RROD but either way its rough. my wii and ps3 never mess up. you would think with $60 billion bill gates could oversee the completion of a quality product. its just plain silly.

How to check for error code:

okay when the rrod are flashing hold down the white sync button next to the memory card slots and while holding it press the eject button

4 lights = 0
3 lights = 3
2 lights = 2
1 light = 1

and keep pressing the eject button until you see the 4 number code

mine was 0102 so try that and you will find out whats wrong with it by searching for that code online

that stuff IS weak, but i guess i gotta just deal wit it and whoop bills a** later haha. i think i'ma try to do that counting the lights. i just remember them all flashing at once as soon as it happened
