well maybe not a complete noob, i softmodded my xbox, but thats beside the point

this is my situation

my computer is a 2003 model (no sata cable to speak of or chipset) but i have windows xp though, it has a regular dvd drive (cant burn dual layer dvds)..........so basically its an obsolete model..........and im confused to hell and back on what i need to do

but the thing is should i buy me another hardrive with a sata cable, and ports and format it

also my 360 is BenQ


and eventually i'll get another dvd burner, but later ......
