I normally encounter an error of Unplayable disc for several backup Xbox 360 games. But some other titles are playing fine. Anyone knows what's the problem?

would have to agree, most of the time it is either a bad rip or using cheap media.

yep, i had a hitachi and used bad media (memorex). the laser in my drive went band and i had to get a whole new drive installed. i now have a toshiba-samsung drive and all is good... so far. i also use verbatim DL discs. i heard those were the best to use, if anyone else thinks any different please let me know because i dont want my laser to go bad again. thanks.

I use nothing but Verbatim discs with my Samsung drive and i have had a 100% success rate so far. So what you are doing now should work out great.

I've got Hitachi drive and burning with Asus DL burner. I've had success with Mirror printable. Phillips would read but half of them trashed during the burning process. Verbatim first batch worked fine. Got another batch last week, newly branded by the look of it, and not one of them has worked. All burn fine, but Unplayable Disc.

Have gone back and checked all older backups and they work fine. Images are fine as have re-burnt onto Mirror printable and they worked, but these new Verbatim batch don't work at all.
