I am capturing my old VHS tapes on the PC to convert to DVD's.. Each VHS tape has 4-6 hours of video on it. After I capture the whole video what program can i use to edit it and make it into multiple files/videos to burn onto DVD?

You can use AViDemux to edit and to convert the mpeg to DVD or DVD Flick:
