Problems with modbo 4.0 on 79001CB

Hello,

I've just had installed a modbo 4.0 (fw v1.93) on my 79001CB PS2 slim. But I've run into some problems;

Works with no problems:
PS2 originals
DVD backups
Music CDs

Works but with problems:
PSX backups (ONLY by forcing PS1/DVD mode, not autoboot)
DVD originals (ONLY by forcing PS1/DVD mode, not autoboot)

Doesn't work:
PS2 backups (Red screen)
CDs backups (Red screen, AR is one such case)

I'm afraid it might be something with the wiring, the modchip was installed by a Pro. It seems to me very weird, almost as if some wires were mixed up. Any help with this would be much appreciated.
