ok this is what happened... my ps2 got into a lil argument with my g/f and it lost ...the ribbon that goes to the laser broke and the lid got bent.... i went on ebay and purchased the ribbon and put it back again but now when i want to play a game it wont read the game andi noticed that the laser is moving down and just stays there like it wants to keep on goind down but it cant cuz thats as far as it can go ... does anyone know what be might wrong ? i miss my ps2 and i'd like to have it fixed .... thanks a lot

forgot to mention it wont spin at all ... it just makes a noise like laser wants to keep on goin down but it cant go any further ....

get a new laser. you have to get the one that's for your ps2 version, not just any random one.
