Why does my psp freeze up?

My PSP keeps freezing up. I've upgraded it to 3.80 M33-1 from 3.71 M33-1 and ever since its been freezing at the xmb. Sometimes it will work for a few minutes normally but then freezes. If I try to restart it it will just start up frozen. I wait an hour or so it will work for a few minutes again.

try disabling you plugins that you have because most of the 3.71M33 ones wont work

go to the recovery menu by holding R when psp is starting up and then going to advanced>plugin and in this u can disable them

This will not work for me. When I press R bumper and hold during start-up, the PSP does the wave thing, then freezes with the date and time in 24 hour format at top, greyed out, sorta. Then turns off.

It will boot up UMD games and movies, but will not save to any of our memory sticks. Will Load, however.

Cannot get to menu at all!

Was dropped about 3 ft onto tile floor, once!

Any suggestions! I guess I will have to take it in to get fixed, eh?

Forgot to mention just upgraded to firmware 3.80 from Sony.

Always has had a bit of a problem with 2 G mem stick pro magic gate, must sometimes reinsert it a few times to get it to recognize it.

Now when I press HOME key to get out of a SAVE that is hung, the message is in Japanese, and the X and O keys are reversed from what it used to be" O was back, X was ok.

im a total newbie to this and am having the same screen freeze after the wave thing, how can i fix it? and after you load m33 3.71 how should you psp act?

I DID FLAH MY PSP ON RECOVERY AND IT WORK (JUST STARTS YOUR PSP AND HIT THE(R) AND YOU WILL GO TO RECOVERY MENU THEN GO TO ADVENCE AND RESET THE FLASH SETTINGS
