I have a NTSC US version of modified Wii. Till now everything was fine, until I tried to play the great Super Mario Galaxy. The end result is that now my Wii can play games but I can not access Wii Settings. As I can see from many forums that my wii is Semi brick.

My question to all you nice people is plain and simple, how to un-brick it ?

I am not sure the SMG I used was of which region. Is there any way to check that ?
Also how should I check which kind of mod chip is installed in my wii ?

As long as you use the NTSC-US version of the ame you will be fine.

Alternatively update on line, its the safest way.
