I flashed my xbox360 and 3 friends about 10 months ago. I want to update the firmware so we can play on xbox live. I forget the exact models of each one, but i know 1 was samsung and the rest hitachi. Do i have to restore all of them to the original firmware before i can update them?

no, you can flash right over the old flash. however, for the samsung, you might have to use the 0800 disc depending on what the previous FW number is. cant remember what the number is that you have use the 0800 with though.
