My AUX on my PSP doesnt work. just suddenly it stopped working, i dont know if it might be software or hardware. i dont think it's the firmware coz i updated my PSP to 3.80-5 already. The External speakers are working fine.

When i try plugging in a jack into the AUX, the external speakers still have sound and i dont hear anything on my headset.

Can it maybe be due to some keys in IdStorage Manager?
or maybe hardware problem?

i heard these aux boards of the PSP have compatibilty issues so you cant just change the board.

Anyone have any idea bout this problem i am experiening?
Would appreciate any help.
THanx!

This is probably a stupid idea but is there any way to downgrade to 3.71 M33? I did and its worked fine for me and from what you're describing its probably a hardware/compatability issue.

I had an issue with my Aux jack before but it was because my earphone jack broke off and kind of bent the Aux Jack but I managed to fix it myself.

If it was an actual issue with the Jack, I figure that the external speakers wouldn't work at all with an Aux input plugged in.

Have you got anything turned on like AVL or maybe a certain sound setting active like Unique/Pop/Rock/ETC...
