Ripit4me uses DVD Decrypter.
Instead, use DVDFab HD Decrypter, it is up to date and wprks with virtually any title out there. Drop that guide that you got, I suggest you follow this one, and you'll have no problems:

Hello all, didnt want to start a new thread just incase it was the same problem I was asking about.

I've downloaded DVDfab, FixVTS, DVDShrink and Imageburn and have managed to backup 2 dvd's now but the problem that I have is after DVDfab has done its stuff I'm meant to open FixVTS as per this very useful guide http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/494836. Well the only way I can open it is via winzip and clicking file and recent history. When I do this it runs the program again and I think I have FixVTS four times on my PC somewhere but have no clue where. Is this normal or is there a way I can save it as a desktop item? Or will I always have to run it as a new piece of software everytime?

Many thanks

And apologies if I was meant to ask this elsewhere.

You only need to use FixVTS for files that for some reason are not DVD complaint and need correction. You can also get the same results by processing the files through VobBlanker.

1.7.1.0 does not use FixVTS. It has it's own version incorporated into the program.

If you have DVDFab, you don't need to use RipIt4Me. FixVTS is used to correct files that are not DVD compliant and to remove small useless cells that can cause trouble or are just not needed. FixVTS is a tool that everyone should have. RipIt4Me is no longer updated but it does produce a very clean rip on the movies that it can handle.
There was an issue with previous versions of DVDFab where the ripped files had incorrect information and FixVTS was needed to correct them. I believe that issue has been fixed.

If you do need FIXVTS, No you do not have to run it as a new program each time , and no it probably did not install 4 different times,Since it did not ask you and you did not tell it where to install it just installed over it self each time.If you do the search you should find it and then you can do the right click and send to desktop as a shortcut.
