how do i put 3.80 ofw on 3.80 m33-5 psp?

my friend has a phat psp with 3.80 m33-5.
but he has to send it to sony to fix it and he wants to put 3.80 ofw on it before sending.
so how can he do it?
step by step guide would be nice, thanx

downgrade it back to 1.5 using the recovery mode or use the pandora. I dont think Sony cares if they receive a CFW psp

Enter recovery and Switch off Network Updates. Exit and network update back to 3.80 OFW.

I do not think you need to go to 1.50 to switch back to OFW. Be advised though, if you are already on CFW i strongly advise you to create a MMS & Pandora now. When Sony send your PSP back it will be a whole load easier to go back to CFW.

Sony will likely reject an Exchange if they discover CFW as it invalidates the warranty.

Question is do they check each and every one - Do they care that much??

so there is no need to go back to 1.5?
and we don't have wireless.. so i can just download 3.80 official fw then put it in GAME folder then just update?

U dont need to have wireless to get the 3.80 firmware. Here is a link

Put the update.pbp into a folder named UPDATE. Put the UPDATE folder and ur GAME folder.
