this is my first post so please bear with me... i have a ps2 slim v.14 installed in my car... i want to play backup copies of MOVIES, made with sly soft anydvd & CloneDVD. The copies play everywhere else except the ps2... all i want to know is what exactly i need to do so i may watch my dvd backups on my v.14 ps2 slim...

On my V14, I just use SMS 2.5 player, which you can find on sksapps.com under media players. It can play mpeg1 mpeg2 avidivxxvid mp3 ogg
I just convert my movies to divx, then copy them onto a DVD and load up the SMS 2.5 either from my mc or usb device.

i actually found something that worked out for me... check it out...
u downlad imgburn (google it) and if u have one of the compatiple burners , you change the BOOKTYPE from dvd+r to dvd-rom ..
which fools the ps2 into making it play... itz worked out so far on a family guy season ... a copy of a bootleg (beowulf)... i'll be trying out more movies tonight....
as for your other suggestions thanks you guys!!! but hopefully we're both right...
just FYI ,
i made disc images (iso) with clone dvd , (anydvd to decrypt)
came hometoday and used imgburn to change the booktype , then close it, opened clone dvd again , loaded the image (iso) i made at my friends house last night ., and burn onto TDK dvd+R @ 12x , with a plextor px708uf.....
thats it... took me 2 weeks of searching but it worked on my v.14 ps2 slim ... NO MODS.

HEY THANKS FOR THIS INFO>>> I GOTTA TRY IT FOR THE MP3 USE... that way i could load up dvd's of music to play through my visor tv's//// aww man ... i CANT WAIT thanks again....
