X3 Ce bios for v1.6

I have all the files I need for when I install the X3 CE. I don't know how to use xbtool with the plus v1.6 bios. I keep getting an error. Also, if I just install the 300gb hdd with the chip will it format it for me?
I have been researching like mad I would just like some clarity and I know the brains on this site can give me some ideas.

Ok, I know that xbtool will not work for it. I will just flash the chip regular then. I just wanted to know how to install avalaunch. and how to format my hdd
