Hi guys.

i recently got a *NEW* ps2slim and b4 looking for a mod solution i thought id tinkle with a few ideas on getting a backup to boot.

i tried this and got to playstation 2 logo screen but then it froze.
(this is with a dvd-r burnt game.. no mod or swap disc or anything)

I got a ps2 backup game off the net.. was World Championship Paintball iso image.. i then dumped a video_ts folder and audio_ts folder (home authored small 4mb project using DVDLAB PRO) into the iso and then burnt using dvddecrypter.

i placed it in the ps2 and i thought if anything ive only wasted 1 disc if it doesnt work. anyway to my amazement it booted to the PLAYSTATION 2 logo then froze.

i dont know if ive stumbled upon something here of an exploit or if my 4mb partial dvd authoring has triggered something off in the ps2 console to make the disc boot to the playstation 2 logo but i thought id share to see if this could be looked at.??

what is the home authored small 4mb project you are talking about? Can you share that?
