Way to transfer PSX saves without USB/GameShark/etc?

I recently came upon a way to back-up/burn/etc my PS2 save games, which makes it great considering I no longer have a flash drive. Now, I'm curious; If I can do this with my PS2 saves, is there any way I can do this with original PSX saves?

For instance, the last time I played FFIX I was at the start of disc 4, well a website has a save for the start of disc 4, is there anything I can do to get that to my PS2? Even if there's not a way without a USB/GameShark/whatever, tell me anyway, I'd still like to ease my curiosity.

If for some reason this has anything to do with it, my PS2 specs;
PS2 slim (scph-70012) running SM 3.6 through switch. Thanks in advance for any and all help.
