i need to join two video files (unkown format) i know they open with windows media player. then i have to burn them to dvd
any help guys

Since they are "unknown format" it doesn't help much. You can use GSpot to see what codecs were used to encode the videos.
For joining, you can use Avidemux, and then convert to DVD-Video with DVD Flick. (all the tools I mentioned are free)
