I flashed my xbox about a year ago with extreme 4. I just reflashed today to iExtreme 1.4 Is there anyway I can check to make sure 1.4 is definately on there?

try playing a game that only has the SS files on it. if you have 1.4 on it, the game wont boot at all.

Extract the firmware and open it up with toolbox. It'll tell you exactly what version the firmware is. Of course since were are talking about just 2 possible firmwares the game test should be good enough.
