I have a BenQ drive and would like to mod my 360. So do i really need a Sata card to be able to play backups? And if i do need a Sata card, will i have to open my 360 in order to play backups?

no, you dont need to open the 360 to play backups.
no, you dont need to have a sata card to play backups.
you do need a sata card to flash hacked firmware to you xbox.
you do need to open the xbox to flash the firmware on the dvd drive in your xbox.
you need hacked firmware to play backups.

So i need to open it and get a sata card since you said playing backups require flashed firmware which i have to do?

you need to do some reading first, use google to look for textbooks guide for noobs and read it.

I downloaded like a complete "textbook" that tells what is should and shouldnt do. I just wanted to be sure and post a thread. It does say i need a sata card and flashed firmware, but gain, i just wanted to be sure.

uhh ok...

I don't have a Falcon chip, which lasts longer? I mean my 360 wont overheat if i have that chip, but i don't. So in this picture, is my 360 alright, like will it overheat? I know i have to kkep in it a well-ventilated place.
