Hi i just bought a 60gb PS3 and was wanting to play it on my hp pavilion mx704 CRT monitor using a VGA box...I was just wondering if my monitor would be able to handle it and would it look better than playing it on a regular television? I have a nvidia 7800GS i don't know if that matters or not. I'm thinking about buying this unit

what inputs does the vga support>>? hopefully component cause i dont think plugging composite into it would really yield great results

Why do you need a VGA box? Does you monitor have a DVI input (like most monitors nowadays?). Then all you need is to get an HDMI to DVI cable (cost me 7 bucks). You plug the HDMI on the PS3 and throw the DVI on the monitor. I should mention that if you're relying on HDMI for sound, then you'll probably have to plug in the normal cables just to get the sound out. Simple, and it's the cheapest way to get a 1080p signal out of your PS3
