Differences between infectus2 and argon modchip

Hi All,
I am wondering about buying achip for a d2c PAL Wii.
I don't understand precisely the differences between infectus2 and argon modchip.
This is what I have undertood right now:
-both are from the same team
-argon is Wii-specific modchip, instead Infectus2 can be used also for other consoles
-argon needs an external programmer (injectus) to upgrade the firmware, Infectus2 can be upgraded trought an usb port (on a external PCB included when you buy it).
-both are very difficult to find!
-they have the same capabilities?
-they use the same firware?
-other differences???

I am actually wondering the exact same thing.

If infectus2 and argon are the almost same price, and both are 13-wire installs, both use the same firmware, so why not get infectus2 if you could use it on future systems??

Right now, there are production shortages and a huge worldwide demand for these as they're pretty much the only feasible option for most new owners from the Christmas season. On top of that, there only seems to be 1 website that will sell the argon to the US.
