Ok first off I am wanting to rip some of my dvds to my hard drive. What program would you recommend to do this. Some of the dvds that I will rip will be some of my home movies already burnt to dvd. I was looking for a simple and quick program that will help me to do this. With so many it gets comfusing.

do you just want to rip them full size or have them compressed?
DVD decrypter will leave them full sized and DVD Shrink will compress. The price for both of them is right (free)

The home movies should not be compressed. You should just be able to copy them to the hard drive with windows explorer.
