Ah, sorry my bad. I don't know whether the exploit works on slim ps2. If it does you may be able to access an external HDD via USB using an elf launcher that recognizes USB (the one in the tutorial does), but I havn't tried so this is just food for thought.

No, it doesn't work on slim and on a external hdd the compatibility is like 5%.

Im kinda of confused here. I donno y...but w/e
USB extreme/usb advance (which is usb hdd[ones free ones not]) has really bad compabiblity. THe Hd Combo is the only choice u have to go with. There is another one (HDConnect) that doesnt come with the casing and the hdd just sits outside, and can get killed by static and stuff... but then u could put it in a enclosure. Mobo is a decent chip it is a (M...matrix?) clone. Games can be copied from a computer... but u would need to open your computer every time or have a usb enclosure to copy the files on there. Coping games from ps2 to hdd is alot slower, but i forget what prog u use, hdd advance or something(but i think that was for old ps2) I dont really remember its been so long since i messed with ps2 modding, and so has everyone else.

side note: u should have a laser fix on a v12!

Edit: I'm pretty sure you need a chip, or if not the software will require purchasing...

I don't care how much I have to stay 4 a game to get installed on the ps2. Btw I don't have a pc. Do you know a place from where I can buy HD combo? I'm from Romania!
