U should get a slim since they are new models and has new functions. The only thing slim can (but fat can) is have the 1.5 addon. The best is too have a custom firmware like M33 or OE or at least 1.5 firmware.

Brick is when a psp dosent work anymore (usually happens when messing with the flash0 drive or upgrading, downgrading). U can fix a brick psp with the pandora's battery.

It depends what you're looking for in a PSP, if you want it strictly for games and apps, homebrew, downgraders, i'd go with a fatty, its easier to hack and more functionable with new homebrew and such coming out. Plus, maybe some of your buddies will have a fatty and they could MAKE a pandora's battery for you. Making your life a lot easier.

If you want to just be able to put movies on it and watch it on your tv using the PSP connection from TV to PSP which entirely defeats the purpose of the handheld and all of its portability and you just like the way the PSP SLim looks then ya, go out and buy a slim.

Personally, I like the Fatty better, its easy to hack because more people have it and more people around you will be able to help, some Homebrew games and homebrew applications people make for the PSP do not work on the Slim only on the Fatty. And don't forget, Fatty is a much better nickname then Slim ;)

PSP-3.80 m33-5
Ps2-Duo3 Modchip, 15 GB hDD (needs to be bigger)
PC-80 GB hDD, LG DVD RW+R-R Writer, and a few more bells and whistles.

..

Regular Xbox :)

Also, fat is more better if u are a clumsy person. It wont break that easily. More easy to downgade ... and have IR in case u need it.

sounds cool, i'm gonna buy an used one with custom firmware already on it (really dont want to bother with pandora's battery and stuff), i just want it for games/mp3's so i dont think i strictly need a slim.

thanks for the help guys.

one last question,

is the 3.52 M33-2 firmware good, does it have any cons like no browser support? will most .iso games work on it?
