my ps2 has stopped reading ps1 games as games and opens up as though its a music cd instead can anyone help?.

what version ps2 do you have

Try this put a ps1 game in the tray and turn it off and put it upside down or standing up vertically and then try it. If ps1 games work you need a new laser
