Those are 2 ohms.. no good!!

The one you want will be banded red-black-red (and probably these days gold) 2000 Ohms or 2 KiloOhms .. shorthand 2k

i am about to buy a new ps2 because some chip on the board itself broke so my old one i useless. my friend told me to get a silver ps2 because its the newest. he also said that because its the newest i wont need to do the somm0ne fix to it because its got something to keep the laser from burning out. i am wondering if this is true or not.

That is true. Only V9/V10/V12 have laser problems and need fixes.

He also said that the ps2 has trouble reading burned disks because it is a different color than the white ones that the regular games are printed on. i found a place where i can buy white disks, would that make it easier for the ps2 to read them.

No, the color makes no difference at all.
