Anyone else have games that freeze?

I just recently modded my xbox w/ xecuter 2.2 w/ 4977 bios and evox dash. Sometimes, my games just freeze. I've had this happen w/ NBA live 2004 (running it off of a burned disc and from the hard drive), and also on NCAA football 2003 (running from original disk).

Since NCAA freezes on the original disc (not always, but sometimes), I doubt it is some problem w/ my burned discs. Does anyone have any idea what it could be. It's getting really annoying.
