Hi all.

Got a psp slim yesterday the software is 3.71 m33-4...

I stuck a few games on it and have been playing for last 2 days straight, a few hours ago i got it connected to my wireless, browsed a few sites then tried to play a couple of online games, (couldn't find a game to join though) then turned it off.

My girlfriend picked it up an hour ago and went into remote play (thinking this is where the games are) couldn't do it so turned it off,now the psp runs very slow, its near impossible to do anything.

If i take the battery out for a while then put it back in it runs ok for about 20 seconds but then slows right down again.

Any ideas anyone ?

Go into recovery menu (Hold R-Trigger down then turn on the PSP). When the recovery menu comes up go to CPU speed and make sure both XMB and UMD/ISO speed is set to default.

Hi larry, that has sorted the menu, cheers, but the UMD/ISO one is stuck at 133, just wont change, makes burnout very easy but not much fun, any ideas on that one ?

it might have a bad firmware flash. try upgrading to 3.80 m33, and see if that fixes the speed problem.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .

Thats odd that you could change it via VSH and not recovery menu.

The only reason I said to do it through recovery menu is due to the XMB running slow and it could be a pain to get the VSH menu to come up if the CPU Speed was lowered for XMB.

At least you got it fixed.

You can turn off the VSH menu by going into recovery menu then configuration and then VSH menu in the list and disable it.

What speed is default, i tried playing grand theft auto yesterday and it was a bit laggy, maybe turning it up will fix it.

Thanks again.
