Soooo..... it finally happened, NTL Disconnected me. My oul lad's refusing to pay the bill due to their "SHíTE" service to quote his wise self. Anyways, this has impacted on my beloved digivox.

They disconnected at the box on the roof at the front of the house-just undid the nipple. Got up on the ladder and put it back on, but nothing.

The next door neighbour's is still connected, and I presume working, but ours isn't. Are they able to turn off nipples on the splitter box on the roof? Or from the street? Is it possible they blocked off the other three nipples?

Any advice?

Papa won't let me pay it out of "principle". We got sky in to replace NTL, but it's muck.

Gonna get back up on the ladder and have another look

They pull the plug in a box on a street corner nearby too. I'm surprised they even send a man out these days.. That must be to just make the point.. If they check back (or a neighbour rats you out) and you have the wire reconnected they can do you for "attempting to steal the service" which is also a crime.. watch your back.. they can turn every customer on or off individually from the central server. Did you know your cable box has an eeprom inside it with a unique number, and every so often it sends it's ID back to the central server?

There are ways to subvert the system, but they are illegal too..

I see....God damn my stupid fvcker of a dad!

I'll disconnect it again tomorrow so.

I thought it was only one way, that they can't receive anything back from the house? Obviously not.

My bro was telling me they could turn off specific houses from the street, but I didn't believe him. FCUK! Guess we're gonna have to pay or do something, i need that little box!
