"Sony has released firmware version 3.90. Those sleek Slim owners now have official Skype support; while us Fat lamers, including myself, only get added support for PLAYSTATION®Network titles. So what, big whoop, wanna fight about it?"
I'm wondering if you can update a 3.80m33 to 3.90 to try it out and use pandora to go back to 3.8m33? Also, what mic is compatible and do you know when its going to be released?

I honestly have no idea when it is going to be released but i have a gut feeling that Sony went out of their way to add on something
totally cool, to attract people to upgrade because perhaps that 3.90 firmware has a patch that won't allow downgrading, i dont know thats just what i think.
PSP-3.80 m33-5
Ps2-Duo3 Modchip, 15 GB hDD (needs to be bigger)
PC-80 GB hDD, LG DVD RW+R-R Writer, and a few more bells and whistles.

You can grab 3.90 from us or via Network Update. You may need to disable ?M33 Network Update? if you?re running custom firmware 3.80 M33. That?s located under the recovery console.
Stay tuned for more updates. You know the usual routine ? firmware is released, later dumped and decrypted, Skype support ripped out

Anyways, I give this less then 2 weeks before it gets custom-firmwarized! Any word yet on wether or not the Skype is free?
EDIT: Okay, I checked their site and it seems to be free. The only thing you need to make calls to phones is Skype credit, but that's Skype's fault not Sony's.

Skype is free calling to other skype users but you have to pay if you wanna call some phone.

I have upgraded to 3.90 just to check it out and back to 3.80m33-5 so there is no patch and its easy to go back to custom firmware. just to let any dubious people know. Thanks.

OK I Found Out It Has Go! Messenger But The Only Thing I Dont Know Is Its Only For Europe Will A USA PSP Be Compatiable With That Or No??

hey there i just got a new PSP 2004 and the version was 3.72 then didnt check much went on sony official and updated to ver 3.90 official now never had M33 version but checked 3.90 MM# version is out but when updating it saying version all ready installed so if you could help me out

Hi! ashio83 , Need your help, I upgraded to Sony FW 3.90 and now I can't play the games I have on the memory .cso files, if theie any way to pay those games with FW3.90, if not than please tell me how to downgrade to custom FW from Sony FW3.90.

I'm totaly new with these PSP's, just bought it last month,
I made a mistake of upgrading the FW to Sony FW 3.90. Regarding
Pandora Battery and Memory card, I have no idea how to use it,
either if you can explain me in detail or lemme know a good website where I can get more details how to use Pandora. Thanks again for you help.

ok if ur battery and memory card are not fake then u can convert them to pandora battery and jigkick stick. but to do that u need a custom firmware. so the best solution is to get a psp with custom firmware from ur near by friends or any shop keepers for one day rent. then u go into this site and follow its instuctions. but remember u must read everything carefully cause if u made any mistake then u will have to pay to the dealer too :-)) double loss. ok heres the site. its not too much complicated to make pandora battery. dont worry u can do it.

but,my psp slim nd lite..
a new one wd dat version3.90..
nd i cant play a cso file too..
now,is ur psp working now?
wid da use of dat pandora and mms?

hi guys.. just wanna ask if what is the compatible device to call from psp skype? i tried it to call from psp to computer.. it works but i dont have audio device or headset for this one..thanks for your replies guys...
