Hi all,
I have a psp slim 3.71 M33-4. Am using DEVHOOK 0.44 to play games from my Memory Stick. Certain games like WWE 2007 and Prince of persia get stuck and lag while playing. Eventually it turns off the PSP or i have to remove battery to turn it off manually.
I have done extensive search on afterdawn and i have found that the clock speed settings can create lags in the PSP. I have tried all settings of CPU clock speed but nothing seems to work. I have also formatted my memory stick to check the same
Please let me know what could be problem.
Is there an upgrade to DEVHOOK available that can solve this problem? or is there any other software available to run .cso and .iso files through memory stick.
Thanks

You only need devhook on 1.50 PSP's
If you are on custom firmware (3.xxoe/ 3.xxM33) all you need to do is remove devhook then restore PSP default settings and format the memory stick through xmb (settings menu)once formatted you will find a folder called ISO, copy ISO,CSO's here then launch game from game menu in xmb as you would launch a normal game.

Yet another problem.. :(
If i add ISO's/CSO's in the ISO folder; the new game is not displayed in the XMB
I have to format the stick and put in all the games again to be able to select the new game and play it.
Every time a new game to be added requires a format and then have copy games again. I am loosing saved games.
I am using an original SONY 4GB memory stick.
Please help me out here..

Sounds like a faulty memory stick, If you have tried formatting it then there isn't a lot more you can do. Where did you get your memory stick from? some cheap memory sticks from places like ebay are fake, meaning you buy 4gb card but you can only use 2gb of it!!!! these are ok for small files but when copying large files over comes the problems. Try a friends memory and see if that works.
Good luck.

I more thing you could try:
Connect your PSP to your computer
I more thing you could try:
Connect your PSP to your computer
Go into "Recovery Mode" by holding the power button for 5-10 seconds to the psp switches off then switch it back on holding the Right Trigger.
You should then be in Recovery Mode, select "Advanced", "Toggle flash1" and window should a appear on your PC, you should see a file called "config.se" delete that file.
Exit Recovery Mode, your PSP will restart. Don't worry this will not harm your PSP, it just deletes system settings which can causes issues from time to time. Then format the memory stick again. If you try another memory and that does the same then I would update the firmware to 3.80M33 or the latest 3.90M33, if that don't work then it most be a hardware issue with the PSP.
