is it possible to put a hdd on the core edition... my friend is giving me one to mod fully, i know i can but from this pic, (i havent seen a core before and he hasnt give it me yet) the xbox drive slot on top is closed!!

the core edition was the same as the others without the hard drive.So a the buyer vould pay less and use memory cards, and later buy the HDD as an add on.

If you look close you see the button on the top, just where the HDD button would be if there was one one it. They may just put a removable screen on there for looks rather than having a big open space.

yeah, that was me. Really all depends on the type of mesh you want. I know if you wanted to get real fancy you could use the aluminun mesh they use on car grills.
how big does it need to be, here is a grill sample pack that are all 3x3" and only $5

even stores like Lowes and Home Depot would have mesh for screen doors and such
