I am over my head i think with ARGON MODCHIP?

where should i start, I got a wii game system and i found out that its to new to use the wiikey on it, bad thing is i bought a wiikey, so now i just bought a ARGON FIRST 13 WIRE D2C CHIP, my question is do need to do a update when i install it? and i live in the USA i did not see anywhere that i could update it in the usa. And another question i hope i bought the right modchip for my wii ARGON FIRST 13 WIRE D2C CHIP
my wii serial checker says Your Drive Chip is most likely GC2-D2C.

Your Drive Pins are most likely not cut.
but the more i read the more i am lost. i am hoping that when i get this argon chip i dont have to update it, and i do where can i get the update from a wii that is in the usa,
what else do i need if i am missing anything, and if i am missing something please tell me and give me links on where to buy and step by step guid on updating and installing this chip. i am crying out here
