I basically dont want a bricked wii, my whole family plays it and if it means i have to avoid playing spm then i will avoid it. Also can someone explain the updating thing it does?
Uhm, there's no worrying about bricking your wii if it's the same region. Do you have the NTSC(U) Wii or the NTSC(J) wii? Same for the game, if they're the same, then you don't have to be afraid.
Also, the Wii updates just update the firmware of the Wii, and give you some new channels/settings/etc.
Mind you, if they're not the same region, Wii and game I mean, then you need a modchip.
It dosent matter if its an origional game or an backup copy so long as they're both from the same region theres no danger of bricking.
Also, it wont update if the wii already has a more recent firmware. If you connect to the internet and update from there then the update on the spm disk wont go through.
